Twinkle Twinkle

Today is Friday and that is time for Daring Cardmakers.
Our theme is absolutely shiny like :
Twinkle Twinkle
so now you know what it should be on our cards!
Yep! A star!

I used a lot of recycling on this card

Stars and houses are made from old cereal box. I cut each shape twice and glue it together to make some stiff chipboard sandwich :0)

'Merry Christmas' sentiment is from very old christmas card. I've just added some stitches around.
Yellow cardstock is made from white cardstock stripe inked with yellow Narcissus Versa Color ink.

Stars are painted with white acrylic paint. I've tried my own technique : took the kitchen foil, spread some blue acrylic paint over, place the painted kitchen foil on the star and rub it randomly then took scissors and scratch towards the star's ends. Finally ink with Topaz Versa Color ink.
I've created really distress look. Here is some close up :

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep,
For you never shut your eye,
'Till the sun is in the sky.

(lyrics from Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)

Wishing you all beautiful Friday evening!
